I've been using my Celestron NexImage Color Burst camera for years-it's been great for getting shots of planets and super-bright stars. However, for more precision in observing and photographing variable stars, I need to upgrade my camera.
Enter the Canon EOS Rebel T7 DSLR camera. AstroBackyard reviewed this camera for astrophotography and found it more than adequate for photographing stars, nebulae, and galaxies. I'll need to modify it with a T ring adapter and possibly a T adapter to mount it on my telescopes, but those accessories are inexpensive and it won't be a problem.
Here's hoping this upgrade will be worth the expense!
