So this is me just being a nerd, and Live Oak Observatory is just what I call my mom's house (she loves her live oak trees!). She has about 12 acres outside of Liberty Hill city limits, and the light pollution level is about 4-4.5. We get a lot of city glow from Austin, but it's still clear enough that you see a LOT of stars. There's quite a bit of open space that's perfect for stargazing, and only a single electrical line that can easily be avoided for both viewing and listening over the ham radio. More pictures will follow!
