Happy 2025!

For those of you who joined the New Year's Eve livestream, you know I have some stuff planned for this year; if you weren't there, here's a brief recap:

  1. The Space Facts shorts have ended (I only had so many made). This year, I've started a series of shorts about the Stars of our Universe. I've been photographing stars and using them as a background for facts about the stars we see every night in our skies. The goal is to help people learn more about what we see when we look up at night.

  2. The Constellations series of videos came to its natural conclusion after one new constellation per month. I might do future videos about constellations in general, but for now I'm moving on. This year, I'm doing a monthly video series on the various specialties and subspecialties of astronomy. I've reached out to several scientists in various fields and hope to do interviews for these videos. Look for these videos to show up the last weekend of each month.

  3. Messier Marathon is coming up in March, with the primary date being March 22nd and the backup date being March 29th. On these nights, if done right, all 100 Messier objects should be visible at some point throughout the night. My plan is to try to capture all 110 Messier objects during a livestream, so download the Messier Bingo card and join me!

If you have any ideas or requests for future videos, I'm all ears! You can reach out to me at info@texasdarkskies.com.
