I'm a wee bit of a goal-oriented person, and when I set myself a goal I go all out. When I got my SeeStar S50 telescope I had to set goals for myself to keep from wandering through space aimlessly. There was just so much to see that I felt like, without goals, I could get stuck on the same things over and over, or I would miss something cool, and honestly I wouldn't even know where to start.
Since I was familiar with the Messier catalog, I decided that was a good place to start and set myself the goal of capturing all 110 objects in the catalog. I originally called it Messier Bingo, but now I call it Messier Pokemon, because I gotta catch 'em all.
Regardless of what I call it, I created a bingo card to help me keep track of what objects I capture and on what date. I've attached a copy to this post so anyone who wants to play along can. Enjoy!
